Thought I'd share an article...
Just thought I’d share an article that highlights some important and unhappy trends. It is addressed at the gaming community, but it speaks about mainly about feminism (which to me equates with basic human rights, nothing more nothing less) and about internet harassment. As a long term gamer and internet geek, I think these are topics that do need to be addressed in a meaningful way. I hope that cases of internet-mediated bullying are eventually replaced with more civil discourse and rational discussions. We really need more of those now than ever before. Disagreements are all part of the game, but the way we share our opinions is also key. Threatening someone with rape or murder is not the way.
Though there’s little I can do other than write some words or share a link or two, I figure that every little bit helps.
